The Empire Is Spreading!

I realise that Saturday was aaaaages ago but I need to blog it anyway.

*sidetrack thought* - is the verb "to blog" or the noun "blog" in the dictionary? and if not then surely its only a matter of time, right?

ANYWAY! back to the original thought. I had Saturday morning off so thought I'd try and get to AFC early to soak up the pre match atmosphere. I thought I'd also be clever by picking up my ticket for the following Saturday a week early. It backfired badly! I got horribly delayed in Tooting and ended up getting to the ground at 3:06pm. The game finished 1-0 to AFC, which meant that we won the league. And guess when the only goal of the game was? You guessed it... 3:04pm! I missed the only goal. I heard it, but i didnt see it. Frustrating to say the least! But there was a plus point! Due to South West Trains once again doing engineering works it meant that i got the 131 bus service, which goes through New Malden and under the A3. By that junction I spotted some new signs for a new shop opening. It is none other than Krispy Kreme doughnuts! I was ecstatic, which the other bus users noticed (!), and immediately phoned my American boss to let him know. They are the best donuts I have ever experienced and have come over to the UK within the past few years and are opening new places over the southeast. Check out their website for details. The original glazed doughnut is the best and highly addictive (and unhealthy - shhhh!). So all this now means that I can watch my lovely Wombles and then go down to KK and sample their wonderful delights!
Heavenly!

Ground 82...

Today i was once again surrounded by boredom (term doesnt start until next week). So i decided to go down to London village to watch QPR Reserves play at home. 2 of the AFC (Wimbledon) players were involved for QPR so i thought i would don my shirt (no pun intended!) and enjoy a nice afternoon game of football. I hadn't ever been to Loftus Road to watch a football game and so this was a new experience for me. I keep a count of the amount of football ground I go to and I'm now on number 82 - ranging from Wembley Stadium down to Chessington & Hook United. I have an excel spreadsheet of "Ground Hopping" if any of you lovelies want to see where I've been a football watching slag. Going to the QPR game at 2pm meant I could have watched another game in the evening, but alas I came home to cook dinner and watch the Chelsea game on TV.

For those of you closet football geeks the game finished QPR Reserves 1 Crawley Town Reserves 0. There was about 100 people there which was very bizarre in a 19,148 capacity stadium. Shane Smeltz (AFC) played well up front and came off for Sonny Farr (on loan from QPR, but plays at AFC as well), who played well at his main club.

Obsessed Completely!

So today was my first day of relaxing in the afternoon with nothing to do (others have gone away for the weekend or gone back to Uni). My NTL cable TV had broken, which I was not impressed about, and found myself bored after Neighbours. So I whooped out my OC Series 1 boxset. I'm now on Disc 5 out of 7 and I love it. Pure entertainment, one can easily relate to the characters, and the humour is brilliant. Series 2 is on E4 at 9pm on Tuesdays (repeated at various times on Sunday on C4 and E4). According to my good friend Gizmo, Series 2 is being shown on T4 at the moment, not sure which one it's on at the moment but watch it! You'll pick it up soon enough! And another little advert is for The OC Mix 4 which came out on Monday 4th April. The OC is renowned for having great music and the CD out now is the fourth in a series of soundtracks from the series. Enjoy!

Sweet memories!

Today was house moving day for some friends of mine! A nice 3 bedroom house in a great location in St Albans (yeah - im jealous!). Myself and Fezza went out to the local shop to buy some bread and thought about getting a house warming present for them. Lemon sherbets were the obvious choice but at just 99p Basset's Fruit Bon Bon's won both our affections! The same packaging is on the individual sweets and they still taste amazing. If you haven't ever tried them then do! The packaging for the whole bag has changed so here is the new one!
