More car problems! and an overdue update!
I felt compelled to blog seeing as I haven't in a long time. Ive been busy, but not too busy. and i know some of you love my blog, well one of you anyway! I was looking through some Lutonians blogs and I felt compelled to blog. most are about films or really deep stuff, mine isnt. sorry!
So the last time that I blogged was after my Fiesta had died and was looking for another. Im afraid things have got worse :(. I bought a Ford Escort for £295 for north london and it seemed a very good motor! I got it on the Wednesday and drove it home, all good, all happy. the insurance was actually cheaper with another company so i switched. then the trouble began.
i was with the ware boys on my way to the Ware game in hornchurch when IT happened. I crashed. my first ever. a bloke 2 cars in front of me swerved from the inside lane to the outside lane merely to overtake. this caused the guy in front of me (i was in the middle lane) to slam his brakes on. i did the same but not quite as good. i went into the back of him. everyone was fine but the car was stuffed. the radiator had cracked and emptied and i lost the headlights, bumper smashed in and damage to the metalwork. the AA were flippin useless, i urge everyone NEVER EVER to join them, they dont deal with accidents, only breakdowns. The RAC do tho, join them or green flag or whoever. we missed the game and were on the hard shoulder for 2 hours. we kept ourselves amused by singing tho :)
So it took me a further two hours to get home. over the next couple of days (including crimbo!!) i struggled around in the car, filling up the radiator all the time. it worked, but obviously not well. i took it to a garage in luton that was recommended and it cost just £175 for the whole thing to be fixed, new radiator, bumper, panels, headlights. couldnt believe it! bargain that was! i was hoping that the guy id hit wouldnt claim considering it wasnt anyones fault, but he has, so thats going through the process as we speak.
i thought that would be the end of the car problems, but no! some idiot tried to overtake me when i was clearly turning right and looking and indicating. he went flying when he hit me but he was ok. felt like knocking him out though. it waits to be seen if he claims, it wont stand up tho, entirely his fault.
works fine, unis fine, im still single, footballs going well. consider yourselves updated! x
