Dissertation Hibernation
I like that title, I just typed it in an MSN convo without meaning to be witty! Pretty much for the past 4 weeks I haven't been out and socialised. That includes the whole easter period. I allowed myself my normal allotment of football to give me breaks (which was almost daily), but I didnt go the pub over Easter. Thats frustration tbh cos thats when everyones back from uni. But tonight I went out with a mixture of youth workers and Kings Sports players. It was a pleasant mix and a good night of laughter and such like. I've missed hanging out with people like Matty Howell (who goes away for 3 months now *sobs*), Gizmo (who will never leave me), Timmy (who I wish would leave me, jokes) and Fez (who has just come back into the fold after spending 18 months under the thumb). We had a laugh, a couple of pints and then the customary H&H where we had chicken rolls and gaunabanas galore!
All of us play for Kings Sports and we've just finished our season. It was our first together and was quite successful. We came third in the league and reached 2 semis and a final. We lost the final 4-1 last night and I was on the bench and didnt get used. Wasnt too happy about that but I asked for really as I didnt go training for 5 weeks due to watching Ware....
Ware have had a good season too. We're about to finish just outside the playoffs in our first season at the higher level. A good achievement considering we have the lowest wage budget in the league! I got signed on for the Reserve team this season and was on the bench for 2 of the games. This delighted me!
During the season I joined Cornerstone from Stevenage and played in the East Herts Church League. I joined in late march so havent played much but theyre a great bunch of guys and training is a good laugh. We lost in the final of the joint league cup last month but we're on course to do a double with the League and League Cup. Hopefully we can win both!!
Life is good pretty much! Dissertation went well, uni is ok, job is good! so yeah! still single, but happy with that. Car's running ok and no crashes! rhian rocks! loving my flat. happy days!
