Aims for Next Year
That title ^ may sound slightly silly. I disagree. As far as Im concerned I've finished a year of University, so that is the end of a year, and a new one starts today. I have some clear aims which I will write up here, but this list may well get added to, or maybe you want to challenge me on some of it? Anyway! Here goes...
1. To have visited 100 football grounds (that means 18 more this season)
2. To have visited Highbury before it gets demolished.
3. To enjoy London above ground far more.
4. To be more adventurous in eating out.
5. To have read through the whole Bible in one year.
6. To have increased on all 3 of my PB's for the Tube Challenges.
7. To have completed Year 2 of Uni AND be raring to go for Yr3.
8. To have lost come weight/be fitter
9. To be in the right church.
A few of those are self explanatory i guess. I have found myself choosing the same places to eat out in London and that is so not the point! There's so much of London to sample so why do just a little bit and leave it at that? I started reading the "Bible in a year" back in Sep 04. But stopped at about Dec because I was too busy. TOO BUSY??? I can never be too busy to have time with God and read the Bible *slaps wrist*. Tube Challenge is my hobby. I have a time of 58mins14secs for the All Lines Challenge (just 83 seconds behind the record!). For the Zone 1 Challenge my record is 3h10m51s, a huge 25 minutes and 41 seconds behind the record, big chance to increase my PB there! I've only done Zone 1 once, so it's ok that I have a poo time. For the whole system, the main challenge, my PB is 19h42m48s, a whopping 1 hour, 7 minutes behind Geoff's record. Having said that though, my PB was a bad run because of missing a train by 5 seconds which increased our time by 30 mins. I can only improve (!). I've already explained the church one and those of you that have met me will understand the weight one!
Consider some aims for yourself, and have someone hold you to them! and by the way... challenge me on whether Im doing these or not! Good people!
