My Washing Machine
The dishwasher is wonderful, lovely in fact!!
But that appliance has not been the problem. The problem has been with the washing machine. It had been doing the job required since I'd moved in but a week ago it stopped twice during a cycle and i had to move the dial on myself in order for it to finish and both times it didnt take the fabric conditioner. Rather frustrating as even though the clothes are washed they dont smell fresh. quite annoying. so then i woke up in the morning to find the washing machine had a pool of water in the bottom of it so i put it on a drain cycle and it emptied. at the time i thought this would be linked to the incomplete cycle. i then went away to uni for 2 days and returned to do another load of washing. i opened the door and water came gushing out so i slammed the door shut but the bathroom was flooded, quite impressive seeing as it wasnt even PLUGGED IN!!!. i got two big towels and tried to mop it up. it did kinda work, damn annoying tho. the landlord came round (nice chap) and he said that i needed to turn the water off to the washing machine each time its not being used as he reckons the water inlet valve may have eroded away so lets water in even when switched off, makes sense to me! we shall see.
the car has been painful again. u know the bollards that u can put down when not in use? they're only 2 inches off the floor or so! well i was reversing over one at STEP with 3 others in the car and somehow the bottom of the car hit it and the exhaust has detached slightly and now rattles. its going to the garage tomorrow, not happy about that.
but its not all bad news! had an amazing week at st georges school. the sixth formers have been doing an incredible job in having a missions week which means STEP are leading EVERY RE lesson that week, got full control of the chapel, leading all assemblies, lunch time workshops, follow up etc. ive been leading some lessons and doing some detached work, both of which i love! God is doing good stuff. id love to be able to just go down and hang out at lunchtimes all the time.
